Space Advocates Launches the Ignite Educator Grants Program

We’re proud to announce the Ignite Educator Grants Program. The program consists of micro-grants of $500 and $1,000 for K-8 classroom teachers across the United States who are bringing space exploration to life for their students.

The future of space is decided long before anyone sets foot in a rocket. It’s decided in elementary and middle school classrooms, when a kid peers through a telescope or watches a model rocket launch and thinks: I want to know more. Teachers make those movements happen, and we want to help fund them.

Two grant tiers. One Mission.

The $500 Materials & Resources Grant is for teachers who need supplies, books, kits, or curriculum tools to bring space into their classroom. It’s a simple application. Tell us what you need and how your students will benefit.

The $1,000 Program Grant is for teachers with a bigger vision. A multi-week curriculum build, a classroom telescope, a planetarium field trip, or a guest speaker program.

Applications are now open through June 30. Recipients will be notified on July 15, with funds disbursed by Aug 1.
